SwiftDeck Ipe
» Uses what is generally recognized as the most durable, hardest and stable wood species commercially available
» Very stable in service displaying little tendency to twist, warp or cup even under more extreme conditions
» Very resistant to attack by decay fungi and insects
» Ideal for the most highly exposed and difficult climatic conditions, including commercial applications
» Wood color varies from mid-olive brown to very dark, almost black brown on occasions
» Color can vary quite significantly depending on the sub species and the source of the lumber
» Paler color than wood species in SwiftDeck range - straw brown to mid brown color
» Less color variation and finer grain than Ipe
» Lower cost than SwiftDeck range
» Uses corrosion resistant screws rather than stainless steel screws as used in SwiftDeck range
» May experience greater tendency to temporary surface cupping under wet, humid conditions

EzyTile Slate
» Hard and durable
» Generally requires application of a sealer to reduce risk of staining with oil etc.
» Occasional minor flaking may occur with certain styles due to natural laminar properties of slate
» Hammered surface finish for good anti-slip properties
EzyTile Porcelain
» Thinner ceramic material requires more care in installation
» Must be laid over a firm, smooth surface to avoid "rocking" of the tiles
» Good anti-slip properties due to surface coating of fine transparent silica sand
» Not recommended where heavy cast iron furniture with unprotected legs are used
» Higher water absorption specification than granite or slate tiles
» Lower maintenance compared with natural wood tiles
» Ideal for high rainfall, snow and ice conditions and in fully exposed situations
» Good resistance to color fading
» Textured simulated wood grain finish for good anti-slip resistance
» May require application of a sealer to reduce risk of staining with oil etc.
