To install our wood or wood composite tiles, you’ll just need a tape measure, sharp knife and Phillips head screwdriver. If you need to cut the tiles to fit around pipes, posts or other fixed features you’ll also need a handsaw or power saw to cut the tiles. Everything you need for quick and easy installation is included in each HandyDeck box of tiles.
Just follow these basic steps:
It’s a good idea to sketch your proposed design on paper before you start. Alternatively go to our interactive "Online Design Tool" which lets you try various design combinations with just a few clicks of your mouse. You can easily create unique patterns, designs and borders by aligning the tiles in different directions or by using a combination of different tile styles. And remember, if you don’t like the first design you’ve put down, you can simply lift up the tiles and re-install them in a different pattern.

With EzyTile paver installation there’s no tedious surface preparation, no messy adhesives, and no time consuming grouting. Effortless and automatic tile alignment ensures perfectly straight and accurate tile spacing every time.
Installation of EzyTile porcelain and stone tiles is virtually identical to the method of installing our SwiftDeck or LinkDeck wood tiles, with the following exceptions.
When installing EzyTile it is important that the surface be as smooth as possible, with no bumps or surface depressions that would allow the tiles to "rock" in place. We do not recommend the installation of our EzyTile on bare ground.
If you need to cut the tiles to fill remaining gaps or to fit around posts or pipes, you will need to use a diamond or carbide tipped wetsaw. However in many situations it’s possible to avoid cutting EzyTile Decking Tiles by filling in the gaps or spaces with medium sized pebbles, volcanic rock or other landscaping material.
To provide maximum protection from oil and water-based stains, and to maintain the attractive appearance and slip resistance of your EzyTile natural slate tiles, it is generally advisable to seal the tiles with a high quality sealer. We suggest sealing EzyTile slate tiles with a good quality, invisible, fully breathe-able impregnating sealer rather than a topical sealer. Whilst we don’t recommend any specific products since we have not tested the many products available, we suggest you may wish to consider the products offered by the following companies:
