What tools will I need to install the tiles?

HandyDeck decking tiles can normally be snapped in place without the need for any special tools.

With our SwiftDeck LinkDeck wood tiles, if the area you intend to cover is a standard rectangular shape, then only if  you need fill any remaining gap between wall and the last row of tiles or to fit around any pipes or posts, would you need to cut the tiles.  However even in this situation, the only tools you'll need are a tape measure, carpenter's square, screwdriver, utility knife or box cutter, and wood saw (which can be either a handsaw, jigsaw or a circular saw).

We also suggest that you keep on hand some sandpaper for smoothing any cut edges and use a pair of sturdy gloves if you are installing a large number of the tiles.

With our EzyTile range of stone and porcelain tiles, again if you are intending to cover a standard rectangular area, you would not necessarily need any additional tools.  However if you need to cut some tiles to fill any remaining gaps then you would need to use a wet saw.

Alternatively if you don't wish to cut the tiles, one very effective and attractive solution is to fill any gaps with landscaping materials such as river pebbles as in the picture below.
