Resurfacing Porches & Verandas

porch headingIf your front wood porch is showing signs of wear or suffering from the effects of weather and you'd like to bring it back to its former glory, one of the simplest solutions can be to re-cover it with HandyDeck deck tiles.

With different styles and colors available in both our wood, stone or ceramic ranges, you can create your own unique design. For example you could run a border around the porch or make a feature panel near the doorway. And for the outside edges of the porch, reducer strips are available which simply clip on the edge of the tiles to give a truly professional finish.

And if your porch has a concrete rather than a wood surface, its even easier and the results can be even more spectacular. Again it's a simple matter of just clicking the tiles into place. A typical porch can be covered in less than an hour... ready to use right away.

If any of the wood tiles have to be cut to fit around pipes or fit against a wall, they can be cut with just a normal handsaw. If you make a template of stiff card, it makes the task of cutting the tiles exactly the right size and shape much easier.

With our EzyTile range of porcelain, granite and natural slate tiles however, it's important to ensure the surface is as smooth as possible so that the tiles do not "rock" on the surface below.
